Duygu Candarli is currently a lecturer in Language Education at University of Dundee. Her research interests include academic discourse, second language writing, corpus linguistics, longitudinal and mixed-methods research in applied linguistics. She is particularly interested in school language at transition and linguistic demands of academic practices in higher education. She previously worked as a research fellow in the ESRC-funded research project ‘The linguistic challenges of the transition from primary to secondary school’ at University of Leeds. She has published research articles in the areas of corpus linguistics and second language writing.
