The Buckinghamshire WRITE project, shared with the BAAK SIG LKALE in 2016, successfully piloted the use of Functional Grammar and Genre Pedagogy alongside Writing Journals and Storytelling as an approach to improve the teaching of Writing in primary schools. As Secondary English Lead for a School Centred Initial Teacher Training provider, Lindsey will share the related approach she has taken with trainees, along with their reflections on its impact.
